A key focus for Paul Mengert, Association Management Group's founder and current CEO, is on educating everyone to be better. AMG is a management company that often functions as training program. Paul was born and raised in the Greensboro, North Carolina area and that is where he located ANG's offices.

One reason he started AMG is because Paul Mengert believes that it is important to give back to the community, whether you do it personally or through business activity or a little of both. He has become a highly regarded leader in the homeowners’ association management industry, primarily in the Carolinas, but also nationwide.

Paul Mengert doesn’t just run AMG. He has also taught extensively with the Harvard Business Management Development Program in Greensboro. Nearly 50 local companies have participated in that program, as have several large corporations such as Wells Fargo, Duke Energy, Microsoft, Pfizer, and even Association Management Group. Paul Mengert loves being part of such a great program because he both teaches and learns from it, too.

It can be said that a major focus for Paul Mengert, AMG (Association Management Group) founder and current CEO, is to ensure that the homeowners’ association management company he established provides homeowners’ association personnel with the best training possible. That is why AMG offers what appears to be a compact version of the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program offered by Harvard Business School. In fact, many of the classes are taught by alumni of that prestigious college. Those graduates just happen to live in his community of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Paul Mengert’s choice of Greensboro as the company’s base represents his commitment to the community where he has spent virtually his entire life. Many class instructors serve as company executives, including some managing partners, as well as a few presidents and CEOs. That’s because Paul feels that experience is the best teacher. Paul Mengert established AMG in 1984 as a way to give back to the Greensboro community, but he has since become a highly regarded leader in the homeowners’ association management industry. While that reputation is strongest in the Carolinas, his reputation is national in scope.
